Stone Path Studios is a student-run production company (with faculty and staff oversight) on the Bethany Lutheran College campus. Funding for the project was provided by a start-up grant from the Antioch Foundation in 2012. The mission of Stone Path Studios is to provide high-end media production to clients (especially Christian and non-profit organizations) at an affordable rate. This mission addresses the struggle that many such organizations face, namely, to deliver their messages in a compelling manner without the crippling price tag of a larger production company. In service to this mission, Stone Path provides paid work to college students who are looking for experience with real-world clients. It’s a pairing that makes sense and continues to bear fruit.

Six years after its launch, the demand for original video content remains strong. What may have been considered a luxury years ago is becoming more commonplace in 2018. For the past year or so the adviser of Stone Path has been Kurt Shrader. Kurt brings with him a great deal of professional experience in video production and an MA in film and television from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Take a look at these two recent pieces from Stone Path Studios. The first is a promotional video for a WELS school in Belle Plain, the second was done for an ELS church in Mankato. Both are quite nicely shot and edited.
